This week, we chatted with Wardrobe Stylist, Mendel McCoy, as he transitions his interchangble pieces. As a stylist, McCoy utilizes fashion as both a tool of service and a way of expression. He dishes out his summer staples and what to expect out on racks.

Mendel McCoy's, classic and tasteful style tells a story. His tailored and clean pieces ranging from preferred platform loafers to oversized square sunglasses. Below, the stylist walks us through the wardrobe essentials he can’t live without this season.

How would you roughly describe your work attire?What outfits would you recommend wearing on a day-to-day basis this season?

My work attire is set for comfy & tailored pieces. Trousers and oversized shirts, closed toe pumps, sneakers and loafers. Shoes being the staple piece, high end such as; Gucci & Ferragamo. As far as women, kitten heels, layered dresses, undershirts such as turtlenecks. Oversized blazers and crop blazers with jeans and sneakers.

What are the hottest office attire recommendations for this season?

I recommend business casual, sports coat blazers, smart pants (above the ankle) monochromatic. All black is a clean look, paired with a nice loafer. As a staple item I would pear my Marc Jacobs tote bag with my black uniform. Fashionable classic pieces such as; white button down and interchanging it with your wardrobe throughout the week.
